KETTLEBELL MATHS = 223,468 kg

These hands can lift!! ©Andy Bellamy
My fellow Brighton Girevoy Sport Team member and sponsor of the team Andy SHOULDER CENTRIC did a little bit of maths earlier today. He sat down and calculated the amount of weight that was lifted in just 8 hours last Saturday by 76 competitors in ten minute slots.

His findings were as follows:
Just as a bit of fun, I looked at the overall kg lift totals, based on the absolute & snatch figures in Brum last week and came up with the following figures (Lord, let my maths be right!!);

Men Absolute = 112,176 kg
Women Absolute = 29,648 kg
Men Snatch = 61,716 kg
Women Snatch = 19,928 kg

Total Lift on the day = 223,468 kg

That's a lot of energy, guys and doesn't include the efforts of those who carried the bells in before the comp and out again afterwards! (Thanks again to Jason At Wolverson and his cheerful bunch).

Full results table for the day are at this link : EGSA English Open Results

When Chuck Norris lifts weights, his muscles don't burn.... the weights do!
