We are now only days away from the TROJAN LIFTING CLUB annual biathlon kettlebell competition. With competitors from England, Ireland, Wales, Germany and many more European countries it's set to be a great contest and demonstration of kettlebelll athleticism.
With my own training progressing very well after gaining a new coach and improvements in my technique and strength moving forward each week I am confident I will beat my biathlon score from the Welsh Open last October (see link below).

Unfortunately my fellow team mates Andy, Silvia and John are unable to compete this week due to a few injury worries and work commitments, but I know I will have their support and confidence to do the team proud. Fortunately my mate Andy (fellow BGSC member) will be there on the day to lend his unwavering support for me and the sport. And as the BGSC photgrapher I'm sure he will get some great images of the days events.
This will be my 4th Girevoy Sport competition since I started to train back in December 2009, when I think about it my own progress and that of my contemporaries has flourished and improved no end. This is a very specialised sport and I now have a confidence that only comes with experience and since starting I have seen many new athletes join the ranks of Girevoy Sport community. With this influx the sport will only grow in strength and popularity and personally I cannot wait to see where 2011-2012 will take us.
I will post over the weekend with results.
